Hi, congrats for your fabulous pics and a quick sum up – quite nostalgic for me. I am an Indian Geologist and had the fortune to visit the great place way back in 2001 as a part of our South America field trip. What I felt – the cost the noise the agressive vendors everything becomes secondary once you are among the ruins of the Great City of the Ancient Incas surrounded by the sacred Urubamba river. The mystic air, the ambience was more than a lifetime of experience for me – rest of it didn’t really mattered. Even the train ride was excellent. I still feel to go up there once again sometimes in future. By the way – in Cusco I got a great Multimedia CD documention – machu picchu and the cusco incas by macrostudio

hi im peruvian and i love peru!! machu picchu is really amazing .i was tired when i was half way there though.i like ur pics but what u wrote was kind of offensive .they just selling it a little bit more expensive cuz what they going to live off of .besides everything is more expensive all over the world.

Hi! I have never been to Machu Picchu but a freind got back about a month ago and he said it was an amazing expirience for him. I hope to go there one day, although I am slightly disturbed by what you wrote. Ah well, at least I know to bring U.S. currency!

Hi! I’m from Hungary. I’ll have an English test tomorrow and we were given 4 photos that we have to be able to write about. One of them shows Machu Picchu. I thought I search some information about it on the internet and I found this page. I read it. It helped me a lot because there are personal experiences too. So thank you for going to Peru and sharing your views about it!!

It is amazing what u have experienced and if you can, try to get some infos about Rosia Montana. It’s in Romania, where I am and here is a war against the Canadian Company that tries to destroy 2000 years of history. It’s just a hint!
